Being regulars at the Ansty Hall Hotel, we have a fabulous relationship with the staff (we sing Auld Lang Syne with them once a year!) and, as we've mentioned before, we have a bit of a thing for their pumpkin ravioli too!
On the last night of July 2015, our wedding band performed for the lovely Amiee and Robert Stephen, having been recommended to them by the Ansty Hall team and the bride's Mum and Dad; they are New Year's Eve groupies (and yes, Dad donned his infamous and fabulous kilt for the occasion) and they had sung our praises to their newly betrothed daughter!
After their wedding breakfast in the Rose Room, the wedding party made their way into the Orangery. By this time, we had decked the room out with our star cloth and rig, the purple pop-up photobooth had been erected and the Ferris wheel had been loaded with sweeties.
Don't worry, we warned Dan that the guests should get theirs first!
The newlyweds, based in Oxfordshire, had given us free reign when it came to disco requests, last dances and timings and so the evening ran like a dream!
The first live set flew by and, once the BBQ buffet had been thoroughly enjoyed (and demolished), we launched into Act 2 with a funky mix of tunes and grooves.
Old and young got involved and had a wiggle with us; one babygrow-clad little one was so excited that he was almost the last man standing/dancing! We think that may have been partly our fault but the sweets definitely had something to do with it too ;)
We loved the personalised sweetie bags and the attention to detail that had gone into the decor and finishing touches; everything matched their theme beautifully.
Amiee and Robert were flying out to a secret honeymoon destination (that only Robert knew) so we can't wait to hear all about it and see the pics from their photographer too.
We wish the new Mr & Mrs Stephen all the luck in the world and look forward to seeing them again in the not too distant future :)
