A Lovely Day at the Barcelo Billesley Manor Wedding Fair

Here are a few shots taken from the Billesley Manor wedding fair last Sunday where we all had a great time with loads of future brides in attendance and a huge amount of enquiries for Adam Thomas and The Souljers (that's us!)

We performed our usual set of foot tappin', sing-a-long tunes starting off with Michael Buble's 'Everything' then grooving into 'My Girl', 'Why Do Fools Fall In Love', 'Paolo Nutini's 'Pencil Full Of Lead' and rounding the performance of with The Four Tops 'Same Old Song.' Phew, and that was only 13 minutes before the catwalk show!!

Thanks to Naomi and her team at Billesley Manor for having us and the wonderful audience who really made it a great show. You know who you are ladies! :)

Pride Park Wedding Show

Sue White from White Media has always been a big fan of Adam's and has always been extremely lovely and supportive. When she got wind of Adam's new soul show (Adam Thomas and The Souljers) she was on the phone within minutes to arrange a live performance on the catwalk at her Pride Park Wedding Show!

It was a debut for us in terms of catwalk shows (as Adam usually sings solo for these) and we were a little apprehensive about 'Geeking it up' on a Sunday afternoon at a wedding fayre! In for a penny, in for a pound as they say: we donned our golf socks, braces and geek glasses and gave it full throttle!

We couldn't have asked for a better reception from the audience: they loved it!!! We had people asking for flyers from the sound man before we'd even finished our first song!

So thank you to Sue for having us and to the people of Derby for being so lovely... We felt so welcome as we bopped away on that catwalk - it was so much fun :)

The Importance of Wedding Fayres

On most Sundays throughout the year we exhibit at local and national wedding fairs in the hope that we can connect with some lovely couples who are looking for the best wedding entertainment and just happen to think that the range of services we have to offer is just great! (FYI, they are!! ;p)

We truly believe that wedding fairs are the best way for you couples to see, first hand, not just the standard of the product itself but also the standard of service provided: it is vital that you not only love the product but also the hand that created it.

Take time to really get to know your supplier and really assess their service and product thoroughly. Ask loads of questions, be a little demanding, even pick fault with something to see if they 'change!' No seriously!! There are lots of couples who have booked a supplier based on their first experience alone and, on first impressions, they were great: friendly, polite, amenable and with a great product. When they have a problem or a query, however, the relationship can change a little and this approach can really sieve the professional wedding suppliers from the stressed out, amateur service providers.

The Best Wedding Entertainment Service Award goes to...

We have a Frequently Asked Questions section on our website should you need an answer to a commonly asked question NOW! You can also expect a speedy reply to your email queries and a genuinely friendly service :)

Get To Know Them

So, before confirming your chosen wedding supplier, make sure that you can talk and interact with them through emails; this is normally the best indication as to their level of service and allround professionalism. Bad suppliers take an age to respond to messages and emails and that becomes incredibly frustrating for you as you need the answer yesterday already!! But, seriously, make sure that you can communicate thoroughly with your supplier as wedding planning can be a very stressful time and waiting a few days for a reply to an email just won't do!

Mix and Mingle

One exciting aspect of exhibiting at wedding fairs is that we can mix and mingle with the best in the business: florists, wedding planners, venues, bridal boutiques... you name it and it can probably be found at most of the big wedding fairs in the East Midlands and throughout the UK. We get to see some stunning floral arrangements (see John Preston Flowers in that regard!), watch brilliant live wedding catwalk shows (in which Adam performs live before each one) and, if we're lucky, get to gobble, sorry, test some wonderful cupcakes and dive into a chocolate fountain.

Catch Up

It also gives us a great opportunity to catch up face to face with some of the couples that have already booked Adam, completing the final rounds of their wedding planning! We like to know what you've been up to (because we're nosey of course!) and try to give as much advise as we can so that your day is as perfect as it should be.

Why not keep us in the loop and let us know what you've been up to right now! Also, should you need any assistance whatsoever, then please get in touch! We have a zillion ways of connecting with us, here are just a few, you chose which way you'd prefer!
